I've Moved!!!! I'm finally using my new blog so hope everyone will visit me there. If you see anything wrong, please let me know! Here's the new blog, Seasons Change! And so did I, everyone remember that song?

Dreary Saturday It's one of those Saturday's where you just want to relax on the couch and read a good book! But I've got things to do so I can only dream about doing that. Oh, well. Yesterday when I went to my psychologist, I asked him if he'd like to go on vacation with us so he can help me handle my mom! lol He laughed and said I will do fine. I sure hope so. I know wish I had gone into therapy years ago. It's not as bad as I imagined and it does get better after those first few visits. Whew, those were hard ones. Ok, I'm getting back to work but I'll be back later!

Friday Five 1. Do you live in a house, an apartment or a condo? I live in a house. 2. Do you rent or own? We own our house. 3. Does anyone else live with you? I live with my husband, 1 son, 3 cats and 1 basset hound! 4. How many times have you moved in your life? I guess it's been 7 times. 5. What are your plans for this weekend? Only plans I have are to get things ready for our trip next week.

Cleaning and many Why's... How did I miss blogging yesterday? Well, I've been cleaning house and I'm tired of it! I've got this thing where I just have to have a perfectly clean house, well, almost perfectly clean house before going away. lol Even though I'm sure "son" will have it messed up the first day! I bought him paper cups and plates since I don't want a bunch of dirty dishes laying in the sink all week. He'd probably wait til the day we come home to wash dishes! Actually the cleaning has helped get rid of some nervous energy I seem to have. I've been having trouble going to sleep even though I feel very tired. The more I try to sleep, the wider open my eyes seem to get. Then I'm either having nightmares or waking up every couple of hours. I think I'm really nervous about going up north next week. I'm excited about hubby and I having a short vacation together. I'm also looking forward to seeing my aunt & uncle since we always have a good time together BUT... I'm really nervous about seeing my parents especially Mom. She has been extremely friendly on the phone the times I've talked to her since the last time I was up. Remember how cold she was when I was up? Yeah, I think my brother has told her things I told him about not wanting to share any of my money with her because of the way she has treated me. My psychologist reminds me that I DO NOT have to share anything with her! In fact, he says you don't have to even see her while you're up there. But I want to get my yearbooks and a couple of other things. I just don't plan on hanging around over there. She'll probably get pissed at me but hey, what's new. I'm just trying to get it into my head that I don't have to do whatever she thinks I should do. But all these questions run through my head in the middle of the night. Why do I try to avoid getting my mother mad or upset with me considering all the bullshit I've dealt with from her over the years? Why have I kept in contact with her after all the times my parents have treated my son like he wasn't even their grandson? Why do I still talk to them after my father called my son a god damn boy and went after him with a "bleepin" cane a couple of years ago? Of course, I defended "son" and told my father he better not touch him but I should have gotten the first flight out! Why do I still waste my phone minutes each week when she never calls me but calls my brother all the time? Why should I share my inheritance with her when she wouldn't lift a finger to help us clean out the house except to carry out things she gave my grandparents? Why does my mother say I'm a mean person because I don't want to talk to the friend of mine who told something I told her twice not to repeat? Why do I continually trust people and get walked on? WTF, do I wear a "Kick Me" sign on my back? I'm sure if you've read this far, you're thinking, yep, good thing Cyndi is in therapy! Wish I could take my dr. with me next week. lol

Tuesday This or That 1. Popcorn at the movies: buttered or not? Give me lots of butter! 2. Sometimes you feel like a nut..sometimes you don't...Mounds or Almond Joy? Neither one. I don't like coconut candy. 3. Chips or pretzels? Pretzels. 4. Milky Way or Snickers? Snickers, my favorite candy bar! 5. M&M's or Reese's Pieces? M&M's, preferably peanut. 6. McDonald's or Burger King? Since Wendy's wasn't a choice, I'll have to say McDonalds. 7. Vanilla Coke or Pepsi Twist? Ahhh, I'd rather have a Diet Coke. 8. Hostess Twinkies or Cupcakes? Cupcakes. 9. Hershey's Kisses or Hugs? Can my Hugs have almonds? 10. Original Mountain Dew or Code Red? Code Red.
Ya-Ya's I've started reading the Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood. I'm enjoying it already and am just a few chapters into the book. I saw that Mamselle has a Ya-Ya name so I went to get one too. I am "Princess Plays-In-the-Rain"! Since Maria finally sent over some of that rain she's been getting in Orlando, I can actually go play in the rain today!! It's been a cloudy, rainy day all day long, very unusual for us. Here's where you can get your own Ya-Ya name!

Participation Positives It's Monday so here are my positives for today. :: we had a very nice Father's Day. :: went to Macaroni Grill for dinner on our anniversary. :: "son" treated us both for Father's Day breakfast! :: I got a new miniature rose in a color I've never had before. :: thanks to FlyLady, my sink is always shining in the morning! :: I will be on vacation this time next week, the first time hubby & I have ever gone without "son"!

21 Years! Today is our 21st anniversary! 21 years, whew, never imagined I'd ever be with a person that long but we've made it. This past year we struggled a couple of times but right now, things are pretty good. Yeah, that therapy helps, doesn't it? lol Actually my husband is wonderful to me. He's always been the one who was there for me through my bad times which means a lot to me. He has always been the one to care for me after childbirth, knee surgeries, shoulder surgery, hysterectomy, and DVT's. He has made a very good life for us that allowed me to stay home with "son" from the time he was born. And I never went back to work! lol Actually it's been a very good 21 years!

Friday Five 1. How often do you do laundry? About 4 times a week. 2. What's in a typical wash load? Clothes! I do towels a couple times a week and once a week for sheets. 3. Front or top loader? Powder or liquid detergent? I have a top loader. I use Cheer Free liquid and regular Cheer liquid for towels and sheets. 4. Do you use fabric softener in the rinse cycle? Most times I use Downy in the yellow carton. Love that smell! Sometimes I forget to throw the Downy ball in and use Bounce. 5. Dryer or clothesline? I always use the dryer. I like the smell of laundry dried outside but only dry scatter rugs outside.

Onions and Life Life is like an onion. You peel it off one layer at a time; And sometimes you weep." ~Carl Sandburg Today has been a much better day than yesterday! It must have been that peeling off of a layer yesterday that made me weepy. I had a hard time getting to sleep last night and ended up watching Cheers at 1AM this morning. I took a Xanax about 12:30 and finally fell asleep around 2. Of course, I feel asleep to nightmares. I really should start a nightmare blog because I have some really strange ones. lol But other than feeling sleepy now, I had a good day. Has anyone heard about the FlyLady? I signed up the other day for her emails. She is going to help me clean my house and get rid of the clutter! It's kind of fun because you do it in small amounts of time, then I run back to my computer! lol Now I better run outside and water some of my plants. It was a hot one today!

Feeling Better Hubby knew I was feeling sad when he came home and suggested we go to Tia's for dinner, one of my favorite places. Dinner was good as it usually is there. "Son" didn't work today and went with us which was very nice and we all had a good time. Afterwards we walked through the mall and went to Borders which always cheers me up! lol I bought Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood and A Year by the Sea. Can't wait to start reading them. Hmmm, which to read first? I'm almost finished reading Mary Higgins Clark and then I will have to decide. Okay, I'm off to read!
Blue Today Are you supposed to come home from seeing your psychologist and feel worse than you did before you went? Hope so because I do. I've got a headache and just feel all teary and BLAH! I went to take a nap and couldn't go to sleep. All the bad shit from my whole life is just flashing through my head. But I guess eventually it will get better after I get him filled in on my life. Right now I just wish had my grandmother to hug me and make it all better.

Tuesday This or That 1. Regular or electric/battery operated toothbrush? Regular. 2. Shower or bath? Shower usually. But I do like long bubble baths to relax occasionally. You know the kind where you light a candle and soak until the water gets too cold! 3. Automatic dishwasher or hand-wash dishes? Hand-wash, yuck! 4. Paying bills: online or write out checks? I prefer writing out checks. 5. Laundromat or your own washer/dryer? I have my own washer and dryer. 6. Electric or gas stove? I use electric. 7. Subscribe to magazines/newspapers or buy at newsstand? The ones I really like I subscribe to. Once in a while I will pick up something different in Borders. 8. Alarm clock...music or buzzer? Definitely music, I hate those buzzers. 9. Go grocery shopping yourself, or order stuff to be delivered? I always go myself. 10. On workdays...pack a lunch or eat out? When I worked I packed a lunch. After buying this house I was able to come home for lunch. Once in a while a group of us would go out for lunch.

Party Time? The last week of this month hubby & I will be going to Maryland to pick up the things I kept from my grandparents house. We're flying up and staying a couple of days, then driving back with my treasures. :) I'm looking forward to us getting away by ourselves for a few days but... This will be the first time we have left "son" alone for any length of time and I'm getting more nervous about it as the time gets closer. Not so much as to what will happen to my house as to my dog and 3 cats. I can just imagine him sleeping until lunchtime and waking up to dog pee all over my living room. She's 12 years old and can't hold it like she used to. I'm going to be calling him frequently to remind him to feed the cats and dog. And to give them water. He is 18 and these are very simple things. But he has a tendency to get real involved in computer games or listening to music and the house could fall down around him! I'm hoping this alone time will help him to appreciate how much I really do for him. Think it will work? Yeah, I know, probably not!

Monday Mission 2.23 1. Do you have a side of the bed on which you prefer to sleep? Do you sleep on that side even when traveling or does it matter? I sleep on the left side of the bed all the time, even when traveling. 2. What is your favorite "Theme Park?" How come and when was the last time you were there? Universal Studios is my favorite theme park and I was there 2 years ago. 3. What is your most and least favorite thing about staying in hotels? Most favorite thing about hotels is I don't have to clean up or make the bed! Least favorite is the bedspreads. 4. Did you ever take family vacations that required looooooong car rides? Were siblings involved ("Stop touching me! Don't cross this line!)? Were the trips just unbearable or did you make up some "car ride games" to pass the time? I think it would take us about 4 hours or so to go to the beach which seemed like forever! My brother is 6 years younger and we would play all different car games to pass the time. We always had a station wagon and I liked to lay in the back and we would sometimes fight over that spot. 5. With all the drilled peep-holes and spy-cams we hear about on the news, have you ever felt self-conscious about taking off your clothes in a hotel bathroom? Has wondering if someone was on the other side of that mirror on the wall above the dresser made you think twice about "gettin' busy?" Never thought about it to tell the truth. 6. Describe the most romantic vacation you have ever taken or if that does not apply ;) (), tell me about the worst vacation you have ever taken. My most romantic would be our vacation to the beach. When we checked in hubby had a dozen red roses waiting for me. 7. (continued) After a full tummy and four days of sleep, I'd say I've never felt better. Since it is nearly noon, how about you come over and we'll hang out on the deck. I have a pool, hot tub and lotsa eats and drink. But feel free to bring whatever else you think we need! How should we spend this fine afternoon at the pool? I think we should just relax and spend time in the pool. I'll bring the sunscreen! BONUS: Have you got it, do you get it, if so, how often? I've got it, I get it and how often is my business!
Participation Positives :: was touched by Cynthia's post about her blogging friends. :: my garden looks so green after the rain we had over the weekend. :: have MT thanks to Sara, now to find time to get it going! :: the Red Wings are leading the series 2-1. :: bought some delicious blueberries at Publix this morning!

Lazy Sunday Today has been a lazy day. Very relaxing to do absolutely nothing! I didn't even cook breakfast. Hubby got up first and went to Dunkin Donuts while I was still sleeping. That was a pleasant surprise to get up to donuts. I slept late and even took a short nap this afternoon. That was nice! I talked to my mother for a while and she only said 2 things to piss me off. Wow, that's a record! And it wasn't any big things so I ignored it. We ate dinner early since my son went to work at 5. I've finished reading today's newspaper, read a magazine, the kitchen is cleaned up and it's been a pretty good day. We even had one of our typical afternoon summer storms. Too wet to go work in the yard so I'm going to relax some more and read. Hope everyone had a good day!

WooHoo! Thanks to Sara I now have Movable Type! Once I get the hang of it, I'll be at my new domain. Gotta go watch hockey. Will have more time to blog tomorrow.

Stormy Weather Just when I get time to sit at the computer a storm comes up. It's getting really dark and I can hear the rumbling in the distance. Actually it's about time we're gotten into our normal summer routine for Florida! Things are much too dry around here. Since I love my computer and the Tampa Bay area is considered the Lightning Capitol, I'm going to shut down and I hope the storm will pass by quickly.

Tuesday This or That 1. Laptop or desktop computer? I prefer my desktop but I do take the laptop when I go out of town. 2. PC or Mac? PC. 3. DVD or VHS? DVD only these days. We never use VHS anymore. 4. Cell phone or regular phone? Both but I usually only turn the cell on when I go out. 5. Satellite or cable TV? Satellite! 6. X-Box or PlayStation? Neither one. 7. Netflix or video store? Video store but usually it's Pay Per View. 8. Wide-screen or regular TV? Wide-screen. 9. Film or digital camera? I have both but use the digital more. 10. Dial-up or high-speed internet connection? High-speed! I refuse to go back to dial-up!

Monday Mission 2.22 1. Who or where do you go to when you need help for web-related problems? I go through my many computer related books I bought when taking web design at our local college. Now this Movable Type thing has got me baffled but I'm working on it! 2. There is a big mess of gossip going on in some Blogs out there due to revelations about a very popular Blogger. I got very caught up in reading all the links to links about it until I stopped myself realizing it was none of my business. Do you ever get caught up in gossip, either spreading it or listening to it? How does it make you feel? Or have you ever been the subject of gossip? I have to say I read through all the links too. I don't spread gossip but have listened to it at times, don't you think most people have at one time or another? It doesn't feel good to be the subject of it, I know! 3. In a relationship, when your other takes a dig at you (read: a fight), do you go for the jugular and get "in their face" or try to peacefully smooth things out and have a calm discussion? I have to say my husband rarely takes any digs at me. BUT recently something happened and I have to admit I went for the jugular! He knew he was so wrong so he had no reason to come back at me. He just yesterday said this was the first time in our 20 year marriage that I have "chewed his ass out" and rightfully so! Normally I am a person who avoids conflicts. 4. A friend once told me "You can tell when someone is bored with what you are saying to them when they reply with 'That's interesting.'" And I have found this to be pretty dang true. How do you know when someone has lost interest in what you are saying? By saying "oh, really" or "is that so". While they look off into all other directions of the room. 5. Ever get jealous of the popularity other Blogs? No, I never really thought about it. I just do it for me, no one else. 6. What is your favorite dirty word? (those who don't curse can pick your favorite happy word) I would say it must be "S**T!" But I have to admit lately I think the F word without actually coming out and saying it, unless I'm by myself. Especially the phrase "WTF?" I really think I've been watching the Osbournes too much. 7. (the continuing story...) OK, we are definitely doing that again. But seeing as it is nearly 6am now, how about breakfast? Anywhere you'd like to go or should we fix our own? What do you like? Or is there something else we need to do first? Hey, remember I don't care too much for drunks and I dropped you off at your house! lol Ok, we'll pretend I came back at 6 to check and see if you were still alive. Oh, you are sobered up and just out of the shower. Ummm, love that clean soapy smell. I'll fix us something to eat. I like scrambled eggs, home fries, bacon and iced tea to drink, how about you? Would you like your breakfast in bed? Mind if I join you? :) BONUS: What have I done to deserve this? You know exactly what you did! :)
monday's participation positives :: my son & I are getting along very well lately. :: my kitty always loves me and likes to sit next to my monitor. :: we had a pleasant weekend. :: talked to my aunt and she can always cheer me up. :: my miniature roses are starting to bloom like crazy. :: I still want to try MT after all the frustration I had with it Saturday!
Looks like I took the weekend off from the computer but I really didn't. Tried to get Movable Type to work. Note that I said "tried"! Oh, what a confusing mess I had. Spent Saturday with that and didn't even look at it yesterday. I might try again later. Now I need to get some things done around the house. Will be back later.

Mexican Food and Paxil Tonight hubby and I went out to Rio Bravo and had some Mexican food which I could eat regularly. Umm, everything was good. We relaxed and talked over dinner, it was a good thing as Martha says. We went to CompUSA after dinner and looked around. I really think my next computer toy will be a Waccom tablet. I went to the doctor today and because I've been feeling really bad lately, he upped my Paxil to 25mg, controlled release. Because of all the stuff going on with my grandmothers estate and the problems my mother is causing, I've had many things going on in my head. Things I had forgotten about problems my parents had when I was a kid. I've been crying over anything and everything, wake up a lot at night, have horrible nightmares etc. My doctor thinks it would be good to talk to a psychologist and not just depend on the Paxil to help me. Mom always told me I needed a couch but I don't believe I will tell her I'm going. What do you think? Today seemed to go by fast and I can't believe it's this late. I'm tired and going to get to bed soon.

Night Blooming Cactus I'm finally posting the cactus that I mentioned the other day. This is the first night of blooms, they only last one night. Only a couple more nights and it will be finished for this year. It grows in my Orchid tree. The blooms don't smell but are so pretty! They start to close from the flash of the camera or if I turn the outside light on. As soon as its daylight, that night's blooms are finished. I've always had this plant but don't know its official name.

Boring Day I've decided that our laundry is breeding in the hampers. It seems like all I do is wash clothes. At least everything is caught up for now. But that's all I did today. Really exciting, eh? I need a life.
Phone Call I had a call Sunday from the friend who caused my mother to jump all over me while I was up in Maryland. She had a completely different story as to what happened. Said she didn't tell her mother what I said. She said that my father told her mother the story. Now the thing is my mother had already told her mother so evidently her mother didn't want her to know that. So I call Mom and ask her about it. Well, she had selective amnesia and couldn't remember anything. So I got upset and told her that nothing pisses me off more than a liar! And she went into this thing about a bond between mother and daughter. So because my friend has a bond with her mother it's okay to repeat whatever I tell her! I don't think so!! Anyway, Mom calls me back yesterday and said she asked Dad and he said my friends mother did tell him that "friend" knew and she hadn't told her. Which is what I figured all along. So now I know she doesn't just tell things that I tell her twice not to tell, she also lies about it!! And that really pisses me off!

Tuesday This or That 1. Charcoal or gas BBQ grill? Gas, it's quicker to start. 2. Beach or pool? The beach is definitely for me! 3. Sneakers or sandals? Sneakers. 4. Sunblock or suntan lotion? Sunblock after having a pre-cancerous spot on my face. 5. Iced tea or iced coffee? I'm an iced tea addict. I drink it for breakfast, lunch and dinner. But I always make it with decaf tea bags and must have a slice of lemon or lime in it. And of course, sweet & low. 6. Touristy beach town or quiet camping trip? I live in a touristy beach town but I'll still take that since I only camp out at Marriott's. 7. Theme park or baseball game? I'll take a baseball game since hockey wasn't an option. lol 8. One or two piece swimsuit? (ladies...which do you prefer to wear; guys, which would you prefer a woman to wear?) One piece. 9. Bicycling or rollerblading? I'd probably break my neck rollerblading so I'll bicycle. 10. It's 95 degrees outside. Do you prefer to go outside in the heat, or stay in and hide behind the air-conditioner? I live in FL, give me the AC!
I'm a day late but here's the Monday Mission 2.21 1. What happened this weekend that made you smile? I smiled when hubby said he would do the cooking yesterday. We had steaks on the grill and I made potato salad. 2. Did you make someone smile today? If not, will you try? So far today I've only made my cats and dog smile by filling their food bowls. 3. Have you any clothes or accessories you love to wear but just totally embarrass the person you are being seen with? Those would be my around the house clothes. I would embarrass myself to go out in public with some of them! But they are so comfortable. 4. What was the catch phrase you said the most in High School? Cool! At least that's all I can remember. 5. Who are you remembering this Memorial Day? (or for those not celebrating it, tell me about someone worth remembering) The only family that I know of whom were killed in any war was a gg-grandfathers brother who was killed in the Civil War. I thought of everyone who has given their lives for us. 6. Do you think you are a good friend? I think I am but who knows. 7. (continued from MM 2.20) That outing tonight was a blast ... but that was last call. I totally over did it and shouldn't drive, anything we can do while I try to "dry out?" Well, if you were with me, I would have tried to keep you from overdoing it. But since you did, I'll drive you home, help you to bed and call a taxi to take me home! BONUS: Do ya love me, now that I can dance? I'd love you even if you couldn't dance!

Fruit or Vegetable? Today was a very busy but productive day around here. Hubby and I went to the flea market early this morning before it got too hot. There were two rows that had basically all produce. Now the weird thing was that half of what I saw I had never seen before! And I'm one of those strange people that were eating Kiwi fruit before it became popular. lol I eat at Chinese restaurants a lot but this was something else. Vietnamese? Thai? I don't know. Some of the stuff could have been a fruit but maybe it was a vegetable. Some looked good but I wouldn't know what to do with it! Very interesting but I stuck to buying peaches! Another interesting thing was that the homeless guys that live down under the bridge near us had a space selling stuff!! What was with that? I looked but didn't see any of our garbage there. One of them rides around on his 3 wheel bicycle with a basket all the time. Now I know what he does with it! Worked in the yard and got quite a bit of weeding done. Maybe I will eventually get caught up around here. My night blooming cactus are blooming this evening. As soon as the digital camera is charged I'm going to take a photo but I'll post it tomorrow.

Bubble Bees This game is for those of us who have too much time on their hands! Let's go catch some bees in Bubbles!
Me Page Someone (you know who you are! lol) thought I should do a page about me. Well, I don't know where to start. Anyone have suggestions or questions to answer I could use. I've seen the 100 things about pages but don't know if I can come up with a hundred things! Going to watch the antique shows on HGTV and will be back again later.

Realtors & Builders I talked to my aunt last night and the realtor has a builder who is interested in the property. She's really pushing us to take the offer. The problem is we would have to take the property off the market while he has it tested to be sure that 2 additional lots taken off of it would be buildable. Then if it doesn't work out, he doesn't want it. Hmm, supposedly we can't have it tested because of dry conditions but builders can? If we could, we can take 2 off conveyances to use as building lots and sell them. We had someone who would pay $115,000 for a one acre lot but we couldn't perc it so there went that sale. I really wish someone who truly loves the property and house would buy it and raise horses on it. Hell, I wouldn't even care if they raised llamas, goats, chickens or pigs! I just want someone to love it the way my grandparents did. Guess I'm dreaming though.

Thursday Threesome Onesome. Readin. Tell me about your favorite book you read as a kid. I don't have one favorite book. Since reading was my favorite thing to do I read too many books to pick out one. But I read a lot of Nancy Drew books and also The Happy Hollisters series, also anything about horses. Those stand out in my mind. Twosome. 'Ritin. Everyone does a Senior Research paper. What was YOUR Senior Research Paper about? Everyone does a senior research paper? I don't remember doing one but the 70s were so long ago maybe I did and just can't remember! lol Threesome. 'Rithmatic. Using those 'rithmatic skills to balance the checkbook...so, what store seems to have the most entries in your register, and what the heck have you been buying there? Publix for groceries and WalMart for everything else!

HumpDayHump 1) Do you have a best friend right now? No! I did til a couple of weeks ago but right now I've very upset with her. After telling her something in confidence and repeating twice for not to say anything to anyone, she immediately went to her mothers house to tell her. Our mothers are good friends and her mother told mine what I said. And then my mother jumped all over me. Now I will never be able to confide anything in her again. Therefore, no best friend! 2) What qualities does this person have that you love? That we could always start right where we left off. 3) What qualities do they have that you could live without? The ability to keep things to themselves! 4) Any past best friends that you have lost contact with? Was there a reason for the distance between you two? A move? An argument? Just grew out of the relationship? The best friend that I talked about has been my friend since we were about 4. We did drift apart for a few years after high school since I wasn't into the drug thing. But reconnected a few years later and it was like we had never not always been friends.

Tuesday This or That 1. Bugs Bunny -or- Daffy Duck? Daffy Duck. 2. Tom -or- Jerry? Tom. 3. Mickey Mouse -or- Donald Duck? Donald Duck. 4. Rocky & Bullwinkle -or- Boris & Natasha? Rocky & Bullwinkle. I used to have nightmares repeatedly about Boris & Natasha. 5. Road Runner -or- Wile E. Coyote? Road Runner. 6. Sylvester -or- Tweety? Sylvester. 7. Popeye -or- Bluto? Popeye. 8. South Park -or - The Simpsons? Neither! 9. Jetsons -or- Flintstones? Oh, this one is hard but I guess I'll go with the Flintstones! 10. And finally, the eternal question asked by all good Scooby-Doo fans: Velma -or- Daphne? Guess I'm not a good Scooby-Doo fan since I don't know Velma or Daphne!
Nasty Morning I know I should be thankful that my 18 year old son doesn't drink, use drugs, or stay out all hours of the night. BUT I am so sick and tired of the snotty attitude he has towards me and that tone of voice. He can be the sweetest person or the nastiest person and this morning was nasty. I hate mornings that start out like this especially since he is off today and tomorrow! I want my life back where I had my days to myself.

Monday Mission 1. When was the last time you went out with a true love of yours? What did you two do that made it so special? Friday night hubby and I went out to dinner like we always do. Nothing special about it but we did have a nice meal and talk. 2. Which far-away friend would you most like to see again? How about a far away friend that I've never seen yet I have gotten to know through email? And that would be Ann. 3. Any high or low points about this past weekend? What went on? Low points, rain. High points, rain. We really needed the rain badly but I wanted to work in my garden yesterday. Other than that, life was in between high and low. 4. I've been thinking about getting a buzz-cut for the summer, a big change for me. Have you ever made any drastic changes to your appearance? They have all been accidental like the "perm from hell!" 5. How long do you think a couple should date before they get married? Or if you are married, do you think you should have waited longer to get hitched? Since I'm married, I don't think we should have waited longer, it was the right amount of time for us. Depends on the couple I guess. 6. I just found out my long-time friend does not like Star Wars (!) and has only seen the original 1977 movie! Have you ever discovered anything new or shocking about a long-time friend you thought you knew everything about? Can't think of nothing at the moment. 7. Well we had a nice picnic and saw the sunset, but now it's dark and I think we should liven things up. Let's call some of your friends and go out. Who do you want to invite and where should we all go? Why do we have to call my friends, don't you have any? All of my close friends are out of state so let's just go home and watch "Swept from the Sea". BONUS: Why can't ya be good to me? I'm always good to you!

Rainy Sunday It's a rainy day here so there go my plans for working in the yard.

Nothing to rant about today but I thought I would write before going to bed. We worked in the yard today and I'm worn out. Also went to Home Depot and got some plants. I'm going to put marigolds around the mailbox since they can take the heat and sun of a Florida summer. This is late for me to be planting but I've gotten behind from being out of town so much in the past month. But now I'm looking forward to getting the garden in shape for summer.

Friday Five 1. What shampoo do you use? I change often. Now I'm using Pantene Pro-V. Before it was Biolage. 2. Do you use conditioner? What kind? Yes, Pantene Pro-V. 3. When was the last time you got your hair cut? May 8, 2002. 4. What styling products do you use? Thermasilk leave-in conditioner spray. 5. What's your worst hair-related experience? I've had many! Bad perms, haircuts too short, bangs too short, you name it, I've had it! Right now I'm trying to grow out the "perm from hell" and it's slow growing. And can you believe I got it the beginning of December and have had 3 haircuts since trying to get rid of it! I wanted just some body and soft wave, well, I got Carrot Top's head! And me being a red hair too, that's not a good thing! Why is it all the good perms that I absolutely love go straight very fast?

Another Day... To those of you who left such caring comments to me yesterday, thank you from the bottom of my heart! I really needed them and want you all to know that they brought tears to my eyes. I'm still struggling to have the black clouds that seem to be following me lifted but feel just a bit better today. Hugs back to all of you!

My Quote of the Day "We have to distrust each other. It's our only defense against betrayal." ~Tennessee Williams I had a really crappy couple of days and this is about all I can blog about for now. Can't believe I actually had positives on Monday afternoon. It went down hill from there. Maybe later this evening will be better.

Participation Positives ~ I'm home. ~ Don't have as many clothes to wash as my last trip. ~ My miniature roses are still alive. ~ I'm listening to my Ozzy CD. ~ I'm in a house with central air.
It's good to be back home! Now I'm trying to catch up on things around the house. My hubby had mopped floors for me before I got back and the house was in pretty good shape so I don't have as much to do. That's why he's called my wonderful husband! I had a great Mother's Day yesterday! My son took me out to breakfast and gave me Ozzy's newest CD. He had to work in the afternoon and hubby took me to dinner. What a nice day, no meals to cook or dishes to wash! Wish they could all be like that. LOL Hope all the mother's who read my blog had a wonderful Mother's Day!

I'll be going back home tomorrow evening. Wish I was staying a few more days but want to be home for Mother's Day. We listed the house the other day and it will go on the market on Monday. Today we had a big trailer delivered to put all the household things in. Then they will take it to the auction house when full. Most things are in boxes and ready to be put in the trailer. It's been a long hard process deciding what to keep or what to get rid of. Emotionally draining as well as physical. But I will be taking many memories of my grandparents home to Florida with me. Next month hubby & I will come up to get my things and drive them back home. I've also decided to take one of their cats with me. She was very attached to my grandfather, when he passed away last fall, she became my grandmothers cat. When I was up in Dec. she didn't want anything to do with me because she had my grandmother. And it was good for my grandmother to have a cat like her. Poor cat was so sad when I was up in February, she was grieving again, this time for my grandmother. Since I have been here, she has become my cat, sleeps with me everynight, talks to me like she did my grandmother and is happy once again to have someone. I decided I couldn't leave her too so I will be taking her with me. Going to get back to work, probably won't have time to write tomorrow.

Ozzy I watched the Habs win in overtime. Woo Hoo!! Also watched The Osbournes. I love that show. I still need to see last weeks show, it's the only one I've missed. Too tired to blog right now, going to bed very soon.

Monday Mission 1. Do you have any tattoos? If no, why not and what would you get if you did get one. If you do have one or more, tell us how you came to get it, and why you chose the design you got inked with. No, I don't have any and am too chicken to have one. If I were to get one, I would get a lightning bolt since I'm a Tampa Bay Lightning fan. 2. Has anything ever happened that caused you to believe, or disbelieve, in a Higher Power. Went through a mild disbelieve period as a teenager. 3. Have you ever seriously considered, or even attempted, suicide? No, even in my most depressing of moments can't imagine attempting suicide! 4. Has anyone you have known committed suicide? No. The closest is a friend I have now had her father commit suicide but I didn't know her at the time. 5. This weekend you and I are going to the nature park for a picnic. I'll bring the blanket and make all the arrangements. You pack the picnic basket. What's inside? Hmm, lets have your favorite lunchmeat on rolls, my "famous" potato salad, fresh strawberries and for something chocolately, we've have Black Bottom Cupcakes. And we'll drink Diet Coke! LOL Or maybe you'd like some fried chicken, macaroni salad and Better Than Sex cake. So which would you like? Oh, we would of course, use linen napkins because Martha would want us to do that! LOL 6. Have you ever been mad at God for something that happened (or didn't happen)? Just a little mad I guess. 7. Post (or describe) an image of someone that is no longer with us. Tell us about that person. Since I'm on the laptop, I can't add the image but I would post my grandfather. He passed away last September and I still miss him so very much. He was 93 and one person who has never been mad or raised his voice at me. My grandfather was a strong but gentle man. He loved all people and everyone loved him. No matter what you told him, he was sincerely interested. Sometimes I still think of something that I'd like to tell him and remember that he isn't just a phone call away anymore. He was a very special person to me. BONUS: Who are you? I don't really know!

Crab Cakes We went out to dinner and I got to eat one of my very favorite foods, crab cakes! It was so good, I could eat another one right now. I've only found a couple of places in Florida that make crabcakes as good as those in Maryland. Hope to have them again before going home. I went to my aunt & uncle's house since they have cable so I could watch the hockey game tonight. Yeah, Habs win! It was nice to relax and watch hockey. I haven't seen a game since what... last Monday. LOL Love my hockey!

BOXES AND MORE BOXES I have become a pro at packing up boxes and wrapping glassware, dishes etc! And my pile to take home is growing by the day. Hubby wants to know if we'll need an eighteen wheeler to get my things home! LOL Some of the books and unbreakable stuff I'm going to post on eBay as soon as I find time to take some digital photos of stuff. Well, back to work.

Antique Stores My aunt and I spent part of the day at some antique stores looking for things that we have. I think I've just about come to the conclusion I want to get space in an antique mall and try to sell things. Seems everyone just wants us to practically give things away at auctions or yard sales and why should we do that? Anyone have any experience doing the antique mall thing or about what it costs? I'd love to hear any suggestions. Since I've been up my mother has called me ZERO times! Said she called while we were out eating the other night. I've called twice and I won't call again. She has no intentions on coming over here to help us and last time I was up I had my aunt drive me back and forth everyday. Mom never once offered to drive me over or pick me up so this time if she wants to see me, she'll have to come over here! And when I talked to her yesterday, she asked what all we were doing. I said just boxing up stuff, I refuse to give info to someone who will not lift a hand, has called me mean, asked me to put it into writing what I was giving her etc! Let her get info from my brother and his wife since they are so close it's sickening. Ok, todays rant is over! Hope to find time to write again tomorrow. And to everyone that I normally read, I'm reading but not commenting. Too busy with packing up stuff and cleaning.

Good Flight I made it to Maryland safe and sound. Just a little bit cooler up here than it was in FL! LOL But I still only had a sweater on so it wasn't too bad. I can't believe I'm still up since I've been up since 4 this morning. Getting ready to go to bed though very soon. We've been playing on eBay looking for some big $ item we have to sell. Guess what, we don't have any! Or we just haven't found it yet. I'm thinking very positive here you know. You never know. Hope to find time to write again tomorrow and visit everyone. I've missed reading everyone today.

Newspaper Article Here's the article that was in our newspaper today about our ex-priest if anyone wants to read it. Guess I should have went to mass yesterday to get the bulletin.

Phone Call I talked to Mom this afternoon and we actually held a 50 min. conversation without mention of my grandmothers will coming up! WooHoo! Never once asked me any info on what we were going to ask for the house, items etc. It made for a much nicer phone call when I'm not being pumped for info that I DO NOT want to give. Well, I'm off to watch some hockey and root for Toronto even though I want the Habs to win the Stanley Cup this year! Can't wait to watch tomorrow evening when they play. Talk to everyone tomorrow!
Catholic Church As a person who was raised Catholic, attended Catholic schools, sent my son to Catholic schools, I am really upset over the latest scandal in the church. Lately I admit I haven't attended mass as regularly as in the past but that's another story. Yesterday afternoon I opened our newspaper and saw that another area priest had resigned. I see the photo of the priest and OMG its the parish I belong to!! I really liked this priest. It's another case of where it all goes back 30 some years ago. Now what upset me is that he immediately resigned! Is it just me or does that say he was guilty? Makes me wonder.

Friday Five 1. What are your hobbies? I would have to say my computer and the internet is my main hobby since that is what I do the most. But I also like to cross stitch, read and garden. 2. Do you collect anything? If so, what? Yes, I collect thimbles from different places. Also collect hockey cards. 3. Is there a hobby you're interested in, but just don't have the time/money to do? None that I can think of at this time. 4. Have you ever turned a hobby into a moneymaking opportunity? A few years ago I had a booth in a craft mall. It was great and I really enjoyed doing it. Sometimes I miss it. 5. Besides web-related stuff (burbs, rings, etc.), what clubs do you belong to? None at the moment. I have been in genealogy and cross stitch groups in the past.

SLEEPY What a waste of a day. I'm not a person to take naps but since I've been home I want to and do take one every afternoon. And right now I feel like I could go take another one. What is up with this, this is not me! Am I trying to sleep away all the problems going on in my life right now? I did manage to drag myself out to the grocery store for a few necessary items, like something to cook for dinner! LOL And stopped by the post office to pick up a registered letter from the courthouse about my grandmothers will. Can you believe there was one person working behind the counter? One!! I must have spent 10 minutes in line before someone else opened. Took me over 15 minutes to pick up a letter that the mailman could have tried to deliver again since "son" told him I'd be back this week. At least dinner was a hit with hubby and son. I made Mexican Beef Stew which is so simple to make and tastes so good. Every time I make it I think I have enough for leftovers but somehow it disappears. Well, there is a bowl left for my lunch tomorrow. :) Now I guess I'd better get myself moving to clean up the kitchen instead of taking the nap that I want. That should wake me up but do I really want to be woke up? Hmmm, I'm not sure.

Yesterday my aunt called to tell me my sister-in-law talked to her and said she has a list of things that her and my brother would like out of the house and she will pay top dollar for them. Yeah, right! Why didn't "brother" ask last week when he was over? I'll tell you why, because she is the one who wants things, not him. And my mother is pushing her to get them. Also found out my mother has been calling SIL to pump her for info on how much the property and things are worth since she can't get any info out of me. I come home to get a break from all this shit and it continues.

Tuesday This or That 1. Is your mouse pad plain or decorated?
Just some blue swirly colors on my mouse pad. It's one of the 3M precise mousing surface ones. 2. Do you own a web cam? Yes or no?
Nope and really don't want one. 3. Which do you do use more often online: email or search?
Email, of course! 4. Do you use HTML coding, WYSIWYG editor, or something else to create your web pages?
I hand code using Notepad. I had to learn Dreamweaver for a class but seldom use it, preferring to hand code my site since that is how I first learned to do a website. 5. Do you forward chain emails?
NO, and I dislike even receiving them! 6. Do you forward those mushy stories that take 20 minutes to read?
No, just the 10 minute ones. LOL 7. How large is your monitor: 14", larger, or smaller?
My monitor is a 17 inch Gateway. 8. Do you have a mouse with a scroller, one with two buttons, one with three?
2 button mouse with scroller. 9. Do you listen to music while surfing the web? Yes or no?
Depends on my mood, sometimes I do. 10. How often do you clear your cookies, or cache?
I like to clear things out every couple of days.

It's so nice to be back to blogging! I was just too busy or too tired to blog while I was away. What a week and a half I had while away. I'm glad to be back home but unfortunately I will be going back up next Tuesday (April 30). We still have to decide which realtor to go with, whether we are going to take 2 lots off of the property and how to part with the items in the house. Two so called antique dealers said we don't have anything of real value, yet one called 1/2 hour after leaving to say him & his partner would like to buy all the contents of the house. So I figure he saw something of value since he had told us earlier how he bought the contents of a house and then sold one box of stuff and made over his cost for the entire lot of stuff! Hmm, who to trust! And of course, this whole thing has caused my mother and aunt to barely speak to each other. Talk about tension. And me being the type who tries to avoid conflicts, went back and forth between houses when actually it would have just been easier to stay in the house we are trying to clean out! One night here, one night there, AGGHH, I wanted to scream! I told Mom I won't be staying with her this next time since it was just too much for me. When I left she said well, I barely got to see you this visit. I said you knew I was coming up to do this. Everytime my aunt asked her to come over, she'd say I don't think so. Wouldn't even go out to dinner with us except the first day I was up. Oh, what a mess this all is. I need to do some cleaning around the house and will be back later.

Getting ready to go to bed. I have an early flight (7:00!) in the morning. Will probably write tomorrow evening even if it's short like this one!
Tuesday This or That 1. Do you answer the phone on the first ring? Yes or no? Never on the first, probably the second or third. 2. Which is worse: door-to-door salesmen or telemarketers? Telemarketers! 3. Which is worse: the phone company or the oil company? Phone companies trying to get me to change my long distance. 4. Cordless phone, cellular phone, or corded phone? I always use a cordless and even have a headset for those "long" calls. 5. Phone number: write it down or remember it? Write it down since I wouldn't remember it until I had called it a few times. 6. When you tell a date, "I'll call you", do you mean it? Yes or no? Back in the dating days, if I said it, I meant it. 7. Do you own one phone? Two? Three? More? Yes, I have 4 phones. I've got this thing about buying phones! LOL 8. Have you purchased anything by phone? Yes or no? Yes, Christmas CD's. 9. Have you ever called someone and then hung up before you spoke? Yes or no? Yes, but have to say it's been years since I did that. 10. Do you own an answering machine? Yes, it's built into the phone.

Yes, it's gone! No more ads for me. Now to fix this blog up. I don't know if I will get to it before leaving Wednesday though. I spent half of this morning at the mall shopping for jeans. Did find 2 pairs that I liked and they fit okay. I hate shopping for jeans. Why do they have to make so many different kinds? Can't complain though since I like the different lengths, nothing worse than having to cut off jeans and hem them. Yuck! I also got our taxes filed electronically today so that is over for this year. So I've been busy getting ready to be gone for ten days. I did tell hubby & son they will need to wash more clothes then they did last time I was away. Boy, was I pissed that I came home to overflowing hampers of dirty clothes! They washed only what they needed and left the rest for me. Better not happen again this time! Going to watch some hockey and then off to bed for me.
Monday Mission 1. When was the last time your computer crashed? What happened? Keeping my fingers crossed here! My computer isn't yet a year old and so far it hasn't had any crashes. Did I mention how much I love my Gateway? 2. Recommend a movie (new or old) for us to watch. Swept from the Sea, it's a few years old and I absolutely love this movie. Have watched it numerous times and still enjoy it. 3. When was the last time someone told you that you were attractive (and you actually believed them)? I never believe anyone! LOL 4. Do you like to sleep in or wake up with the chickens? Wake just a bit after the chickens but not much. I used to sleep in real late way back in my younger days. LOL 5. Are you gay, straight or bi? Ever been tempted to go the other way? I'm straight and never been tempted to go any other way. 6. What will be the next computer-related purchase you will make? Probably a Wacom tablet will be my next toy. 7. I soak up affection like a sponge. But in my current relationship, sadly, I am the giver. The only hugs I get are the ones I initiate (and those become fewer and fewer). I tell you, I would be putty in your hands if you were to be affectionate to me. What is your role when you are in relationships? A giver, a taker, or is it an equal balance? I was always the giver in previous relationships. In my marriage however, I have found the equal balance, maybe that's what has allowed our marriage to survive 20 years. BONUS: Would I lie to you? Probably.

Does anyone know how long it takes for the ads to go away when you go ad free? I paid for them to go away on Friday evening and it's still there. Go away, you stupid ad! I want to put a pretty background on here without that ad. See I told you it was a blah day. Nothing better to do than bitch about an ad!
I had such a blah day I can't even think of anything to write about so I did a quiz. Maybe tomorrow will be better.
What Flavour Are You? I am Vanilla Flavoured.I am Vanilla Flavoured.

I am one of the most popular flavours in the world. Subtle and smooth, I go reasonably with anyone, and rarely do anything to offend. I can be expected to be blending in in society. What Flavour Are You?

What a lazy day! About all I got done was laundry. You know I really think our dirty clothes are breeding because it seems like all I do is wash clothes! Need to get my stuff together that I'm taking with me to Maryland on Wednesday. I've got an early flight out at 7 am! I will take the laptop with me so I can keep up with things. Remember my rant yesterday over "darling son" and his not wanting to cut the grass? Well, he actually did cut the lawn, swept the driveway off, and edged around the mailbox! It looks so nice and neat. Then we went to dinner and he treated hubby and I!! Wow, that is a first! Fast food doesn't count so this was very nice indeed.

Friday Five 1. What are the first things that you do in the morning to start your day? After I visit the bathroom and brush my teeth, hair etc. I head for the computer to turn it on. Then I'll give the cats and dog their food and fill up their water bowls. After that, it's check the email. 2. What are the last things that you do at night before going to bed? Check my email, turn off lights and go to bed. Hubby does all the locking up of doors. 3. What daily routine have you recently added to your day? Nothing really new. Same old things. 4. What routine do you wish you get rid of? Ironing clothes or washing dishes. 5. What's the one thing that makes you feel like something is missing if you don't do it some point within your day? Have to admit it's the internet addiction again with checking that email!
Today is going much better than yesterday. No migraine, yeah! But I do have to take one of the cats to the vet. She's got patches of hair on her back missing. I don't know if she's got a flea allergy or what it is. Haven't seen any fleas actually but if she's allergic one would be enough I guess. Couldn't get an appt. til 3:30 this afternoon. It's a really nice spring day outside. Of course, it's hot but there's a nice breeze to make it feel really nice. Now to get "darling son" to cut the grass! Last fall he got where he wasn't doing it regularly and my husband was on him about doing it. Finally he gave up and said forget it, I'll do it myself. So "son" hasn't done it since! The other day I asked if he was going to do it and he reminded me that Dad said it wasn't a big deal and he'll do it from now on. I said well, Dad's been busy what do you think it would cost me for you to do it, a week of feeding you, doing your laundry? Guess what he says! I'll do it if you let me go to bed at whatever times I want. Now, yes, he is 18 but he has 8 am college classes 2 morning a week plus he works. When he goes to bed at 3-4 am, I'm the one that ends up calling him for 1/2 hour each morning to get him up for school. And other days, he will sleep til 1 or 2 if I let him. Well, I'm tired of that crap so naturally I don't agree to the plan he has and he has the nerve to get mad. Arrrghhhh!

Migraine Afternoon I had a bad afternoon with a migraine. It's been a while since I had one and today's wasn't as bad as some but still was miserable with it. Now I still have the leftovers of it and the Vicodin I take for them. Really think I'll be in bed early tonight since I feel like going now but it's not even 6:30! Yeah, and then I'd be up at midnight wide awake.

Here's Tuesday's This or That. I'm just a day late! 1. For gals: Panties -- Thongs, bikinis, or briefs? Briefs. 2. For guys: Briefs, boxers, or boxer briefs? I like men in boxers. 3. Movable Type, Blogger, or Greymatter? Blogger. 4. Rabbits or hamsters? I would pick a rabbit over a hamster even though I like both. 5. Electric or gas home? Electric. 6. Mud between your toes: comforting or disgusting? Yuck, disgusting! 7. Question mark or exclamation point? Exclamation point!!!!!!!!! 8. Is it hot where you live? Yes or no? Yes, hot! Supposed to be 80 tomorrow. 9. Is your monitor currently dusty? Yes or no? No, I just cleaned it this morning! It was storming and I didn't have anything else to do. LOL 10. Would you rather have an abundance of love, sex, or money in your life? Give me the love!

Monday Mission 1. When was the last time you wanted someone to take you seriously but they just humored you? I would say my husband has done it quite a few times. Can't remember details of any of the times so guess it wasn't really too important. 2. If you were going to get a vanity license plate for your car, what would it say? (Or if you already have one, what does it say?) I don't have one or plan on getting one. But if I would it would have to have something to do with hockey since I'm a hockey addict. 3. What was written in the sweetest love note you were ever given? What's the story there? Hmm, can't say that I've ever really gotten a sweet love note! That's sad and pathetic, isn't it? My husband has written a couple of sweet apology emails, do they count? LOL 4. What is your ethnic background? I'm Irish, German, French and English. 5. What, if any, is your personal exercise routine? Let's just say that my "mouse" hand is in good shape from all the exercise it gets. 6. Have you ever had any "one night stands?" How did that come about and how did you feel the next day? Nope, never had one. 7. What is your fondest Easter memory? I always loved to get new Easter clothes, hat and purse. But the year that stands out in my memory is the Easter that Mom made my dress and a jacket to go over it. It was so beautiful and I was so proud of that outfit! I can vividly remember standing on the front lawn of our house having our pictures taken after church in that dress. BONUS: Who am I to disagree? Isn't this a song? I traveled the world and the seven seas..... or something like that.

Happy Easter!

Where has my mind been? All of a sudden it just popped into my head that I didn't buy anyone an Easter card! Now that's not a problem with hubby & son since I can still run out to the store and get them both one. But what about the rest of the family that live out of state? Don't think they will get one from me this year. And I never ever forget cards! Hmm, maybe since this is the first Easter without my grandparents, my subconcious didn't want to see all the grandparent cards? My grandfather died in Sept and my grandmother in Feb and I still miss the two of them so very much! Even though we didn't live close, I still called and talked to them frequently. It's weird but this week I have had dreams about my grandparents almost every night. Not scary dreams just weird stuff. One dream my grandmother asked me if she could have her wedding band back to wear since she had never taken it off before. I gave it to her and she said now, my hand feels like itself again. Now that one was weird since I have her wedding band. That got me to thinking she didn't want me to have it but I have quite a few pieces of her jewelry and I think she would have asked for it all back. Don't you think? I know, I have a very strange imagination. Hmmm....

We had dinner out since it was Friday. Ate at a restaurant right on the boardwalk and got lucky and got a window booth. From there we could see dolphins, tanned tourists, burnt tourists and lots of people looking in the windows to see what all the people in the restaurant are eating! Nosey people! I guess all the pale looking people were us locals. We don't have time to go to the beach and get tans. I used to do that when we first moved here but not anymore. Since I had the skin cancer spot zapped on my face I really avoid the sun. And being a red head, I really burn fast. But I'd like to be a tourist and go spend a few days in a hotel on the beach.
My amaryllis
An amaryllis blooming in my garden!

My big accomplishment today was baking a chicken without burning it because I was on the computer! Hear that, Cynthia, I didn't burn it! WooHoo! It actually was very good. Went all out and even had cranberry sauce with it. Gotta go watch some hockey now and let my son use the computer for a bit. He's been working all day and hasn't checked his email even 1 time! I'd be having withdrawal if I went all day without my email. I'll probably drag the laptop along when I go to Maryland next month. Can't live without my internet and I usually take it along with me so I can keep up with mail. I know, I'm addicted!

I think I may have worn out my mouse. It's driving me crazy not wanting to go where I want it to. Then I try to crop graphics and it has a mind of it's own! Nothing more aggravating. Doesn't it know this is slowing me down. The thing isn't even a year old but I have to admit I put lots of internet miles on it. Guess I'll try cleaning it one more time, then off to get a new one. Hmm, I had a pretty unexciting day again.

I started out good today with my happy list. But as the day went on, I felt not so happy. I hate when I feel like this. Hubby asks what's wrong but I can't say exactly what it is making me sad. Just feel like crap for no particular reason.Hope that tomorrow is a better day. I'm going to watch some hockey and then go to bed.
Today's Quote "The art of being happy lies in the power of extracting happiness from common things." Things that have made me happy this morning: 1. Smelling the orange blossoms on my tree. 2.Watering my flowers outside. 3.Watching Martha. 4.Hugging my Kitti. 5.Reading my emails.

This or That? Dial-up or cable? Cable! Wal-mart or K-mart? Definitely Wal-mart! Butterfly or dragonfly? Butterfly! Plus or minus? Plus. Liberal or conservative? Conservative. Do you believe in God or not? Yes I do. Sun or moon? Moon, love to see a beautiful full moon! Do you exercise regularly or not? Not! Coffee or tea? Tea, iced please. St. Patrick's Day or Easter? Easter.
BUNNY I've decided I must have a very boring life since it obviously doesn't take much to entertain me. I won't tell you how much time I have just spent playing with this stupid rabbit! OMG, I am pathetic. But I have to admit it was fun! LOL

Must have gotten so busy yesterday I forgot to write here. Right now I feel like going back to bed. I got up at 8 and feel so tired. I don't know why, didn't go to bed real late. Maybe I should get off of this computer and get moving around. Might wake me up. We have so many leaves in the yard and weeds, I should go do some yard work. It definitely needs it bad. Now to drag hubby outside with me! He did pick up leaf bags when we were in Walmart yesterday so that was a good sign that he wants to help, don't you think? LOL Son works til 8 tonight so can forget about getting his help. Probably wouldn't have helped anyway. Always has an excuse to get out of doing things around the house.

I love Fridays! We always go out to dinner, not that we don't ever go out any other days. But Fridays I can always look forward to. We went to Ruby Tuesday's in the mall. Since I was a good Catholic, I ate shrimp. Everything was very good. I didn't do much shopping afterwards in the mall. Did buy some Yankee candles since I was out. Umm, they smell so good. So today has been a good day!
Friday Five 1. What is your favorite time of year? Autumn is probably my favorite, followed closely by spring. 2. What is it about your favorite season that, well, makes it your favorite season? The weather starts to cool off a bit here in the south. And autumn just makes me think of all the pretty fall colors, pumpkins, apples and is just a cozy time of year. 3. What is your least favorite time of year? Why? Winter. Always found it rather depressing, more so up north than here. Once Christmas is over, it always seemed so drab until spring. 4. Do you do anything to celebrate or recognize the changing of seasons? I like to decorate the house according to the seasons. Now I have springy kinds of flowers around and Easter stuff. 5. What's your favorite thing to do outside? I like to plant new flowers around the yard. Or just walk around the yard looking at my flowers. I also like to just sit outside with a good book.

Today was a day that I had so much planned to do and didn't accomplish hardly any of it. I really need to get my paperwork and house more organized. But just can't seem to get going on it. It's like I really don't know where to start since I have so much I want to do.
We've had a foggy morning here and the sun is finally shining!

Today is a beautiful sunshiney day here! I really should go work in the yard. The weeds are trying to take over my flower beds or should I say they have taken them over! Going to have to make a Home Depot trip for more mulch. I'll be back to write later. Need to get some things done around the house.
This or that? 1. Run or walk? My knees say walk. 2. Thistle or dandelions? I'll pick dandelions, we don't have any around here. 3. Birds singing or crickets chirping? Give me the singing birds early in the morning. 4. Allergies or none? Oh, yeah, plenty of allergies. 5. A, B, C or 1, 2, 3? ABC I guess. 6. "Easy as pie" or "simple as cake"? Easy as pie. 7. Trampoline or swimming pool? Swimming pool! 8. Nickel or penny? Umm, nickel. 9. Basketball or baseball? Baseball. 10. Sliding doors or French doors? I love French doors.

I am so mad!! Why does my son always have to answer me so snotty? It doesn't matter what you say or ask and he will have an attitude tone with a very loud voice and I am so so very sick of it! And out of nowhere he wants to know what I went to the dr. about this morning and what did I have a prescription for that I dropped off at the drugstore. I had told him I saw someone he knew at the drugstore. Well, what business is it of his what I went to the dr. for? He knows I go regularly for my blood pressure checks so where in the world did all this attitude come from? Just because he is 18, does he think that gives him the right to talk to me like this? Oh, yes, I really need serenity now!!
While I was out this morning, I called hubby and asked if he wanted to go to lunch with me. Of course, since he is "my wonderful husband" he said yes! We went Italian and split a meatball sub. It was so good, I could have eaten a whole one. It was so nice to sit and have lunch together, we really should do it more often.

What is your meaning of life?

Happy St. Patrick's Day!
I really enjoy reading other peoples blogs but can never seem to think of anything to write in mine. I must be a very boring person. But I do have some very entertaining, or should I say weird, dreams I could always post about. No, guess that wouldn't work either. Don't think people would want to hear about people shooting at me in my dreams or alligators trying to get me. Or falling off of buildings in cars. Yeah, I've had weird dreams like that all my life. So does that make me a weird person? Probably.

I will be SOOOO glad when hubby comes home tomorrow evening from his trip to Montana.

Friday Five 1. What's your favorite animal? Cats! 2. What pets have you had in your lifetime? So many cats that I probably couldn't name them all. I've always had a cat and have 3 now. Always had a dog too, have a Basset Hound now. I had a mouse and rats. Rabbits. Fish. Hamsters. Guinea Pig. Canaries, finches and parakeets. Turtles. 3. Is there any specific pet that you've wanted but never had? Why? Can't think of any. 4. Are you allergic to any animals? Rabbits! I used to have some and had some really bad allergic reactions. 5. Do you have any 'pet' pet peeves (your pets or others')? Oh, yes I do! I don't believe in letting cats outside. Besides the diseases that they can catch they pee on my door so I can smell tomcat pee everytime I walk outside! They also knock down my flower pots on the patio wall. I also hate it when people let their dogs lift their legs on the flowers around my mailbox!

I can't believe how much time I have spent looking at other people's blogs today while deciding what I wanted to do with mine! And I still haven't decided. It will have to be some calming picture and colors since we are trying to be calm here. Hard to do at times. But just like George's father yells "SERENITY NOW", I will do the same. And probably with the same results. Anyone remember watching that episode of Seinfeld? That's one of my favorite ones. Ok, off to play with PSP for awhile.

Guess this background will have to do for now, didn't see anything better. I'll probably make one of my own once I get the idea of how this blog works. I want to add the comment thing but need to find out how to do that.
My first blog post. Hmmm, what to say. Think I will work on getting things the way I like before posting. Don't know if I really like this background.
